Transport

There are several ways to get around from Castelldefels to the surrounding towns and beaches of the Garraf region, and to Barcelona.

By bus, you have a few options:

• The L95 bus takes you to the center of Barcelona, passing along the coast of Castelldefels and Gavà Mar. There are stops all along the 7-kilometer route, so you can get off wherever you want on the beach. In Barcelona, it terminates at Plaza España and Plaza Catalunya, right in the city center. It connects with the RENFE train network, the Barcelona metro (lines L1, L3, L8), and the Ferrocarriles suburban railway.
• The L96 bus takes you to all the urban areas near Castelldefels, including the beach area with its many beach bars, the town centers of Castelldefels, Gavà, Viladecans, and Sant Boi, with all their corresponding services. It connects with several RENFE train stations, line L8 of the Barcelona metro, and the Ferrocarriles suburban railway in Sant Boi.
• The L97 bus takes you to Barcelona, passing through the towns of Castelldefels, Gavà, and Viladecans. It arrives in Barcelona via Diagonal Avenue, ending at Maria Cristina, which is the start of a popular shopping area with many shops and shopping centers, and close to the Camp Nou football stadium. On the other side, it takes you to Poal, a mountainous area on the outskirts of Castelldefels with access to hiking trails. It connects with RENFE trains and line L3 of the Barcelona metro.
• The L99 bus goes from the center of Castelldefels, passing through the centers of Gavà and Viladecans, to the Barcelona Airport.

• The M5 bus follows the same route as the L96 bus, except that it starts in the urban area of Castelldefels and ends in the center of Cornellà. It connects with RENFE trains, the Ferrocarriles suburban railway in Sant Boi, line L5 of the Barcelona metro in Cornellà, and the TRAM light rail system.

• The CF2 bus is a small bus that goes from the center of Castelldefels, through Poal, to Port Ginestà, a well-known marina in the Barcelona area where you can rent small and medium-sized boats for sailing and other water sports. It connects with RENFE trains.
• The CF1 bus is a small bus that goes all over Castelldefels.

By train, you have the following options:

• The RENFE train station in Castelldefels takes you to the center of Barcelona in 20 minutes,
  • stopping at the Sants station, where you can connect with trains to all parts of Catalonia,
  • and the Passeig de Gràcia station, which is next to Casa Batlló.

It also takes you to Sitges in 10 minutes.

By car, you can take the C-32 highway to reach Barcelona in 15-20 minutes, depending on the exit you get in through.
