5 kilometres of seafront promenade

Castelldefels promenade is the soul of the town. It runs along the entire coast, from the port to the border with Gavà, and it's much more than a walkway: it's where Castelldefels life happens.

Promenade sections

Port area (north)

The newest and least busy section. Perfect for morning runs or evening walks as a couple. Direct access from the commuter train station.

Pineda area (centre)

The liveliest section. This is where the best beach bars, public showers and play areas are concentrated. It's also where most ramped beach access points are.

Lluminetes area (south)

Quieter and more residential. Charming beach bars, relaxed atmosphere and the best sunsets on the coast. Many of our beach-area apartments are here.

Activities on the promenade

• Running or walking: the pavement is flat and uniform, ideal for running. The full 5 km (one way) takes about 25 minutes running or 50 walking.
• Cycling: separated bike lane along the entire route. Bike rental in the Pineda area.
• Skating: the smooth pavement is perfect for inline skating.
• Beach yoga: group classes at sunrise in the Lluminetes area (summer).

Must-visit beach bars

The promenade is dotted with beach bars of different styles. The ones you can't miss:

• Vaivén — the most complete, open year-round
• Boo Beach — the most casual, perfect for families
• Maná 75 — the best for fish and seafood
• Agua — creative cuisine with views

Access and parking

The promenade has access points every 200-300 metres. The main points with parking are in Pineda (public car park) and in the port area. In summer, arriving before 11am guarantees a spot.
